Publication Ethics

NEXUS Journal of Nanomedicine & Drug Delivery follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and, for clinical research, the ICMJE recommendations.

Authorship

All authors must have made substantial contributions to the work and approved the final version. Contributions are described using the CRediT taxonomy. Changes to authorship after submission require the agreement of all authors.

Use of AI tools

Use of generative AI in writing, analysis or image creation must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgements. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Reviewers must not upload manuscripts to AI tools.

Plagiarism and duplicate publication

All submissions are screened for similarity. Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere. Preprints are permitted and should be declared.

Research ethics and consent

Studies involving humans or animals must report approval by an appropriate ethics committee and, for human participants, informed consent. Clinical trials must be registered in a public registry.

Conflicts of interest and funding

Authors, editors and reviewers must declare any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest. All funding sources must be acknowledged.

Data availability

Authors must include a data availability statement and are encouraged to deposit data in public repositories.

Image integrity

Images must not be manipulated in ways that misrepresent the original data. Editors may request original files.

Corrections, retractions and misconduct

Errors are corrected through published corrections. Allegations of misconduct are investigated following COPE flowcharts, and articles may be retracted where findings are unreliable.
